Hillsborough SQL User Group

Welcome to the Hillsborough SQL Server Chapter

The Hillsborough SQL User Group is interested in sharing information about Microsoft SQL Server and related topics.  The meetings are free to all who wish to attend.  Food and drinks will be served at most meetings.

We meet at the Corporate Center I at 6:30pm on the last Thursday of every month except November and December. Food usually arrives at 6:00pm to allow networking until the meeting starts at 6:30pm.  The address is 2202 North Westshore Boulevard, Suite 122, Tampa, FL.

Tool Time: Overview of SQL Server Toolset

SQL Server 2012 brought a whole slew of really cool features with it. In addition to all the new features, we have new tools and interfaces to take advantage of all this goodness! In this session Jorge Segarra will do an overview of the new SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Data Tools (formerly Business Intelligence Developer Studio or BIDS) and show you all the hidden gems these new tools bring developers and administrators alike!

Jorge is an MCTS:SQL 2005 and has been a SQL DBA for over 5 years with experience with SQL 2000, 2005 and 2008. Some of his other specialties include virtualization, specifically on the VMware platform.
